Fair & Impartial Policing: Basic Recruit Classes, Officer Classes, and Supervisor Classes.

August 2016 - present

Topic: Implicit Bias, Procedural Justice, and Constitutional Policing.

Provide instruction to separate and distinct classes to Basic Recruits, Officers, and Supervisors where Implicit Bias, identifying Implicit Bias, the exploration of academic studies on Implicit Bias with an emphasis on overcoming Implicit Bias, responding to ambiguous stimuli and its relation to Procedural Justice and Constitutional Policing.

Provide instruction to current and future law enforcement executives on data driven methods of determining staffing strategies for law enforcement agencies.

 

MNPD Basic Recruit Training

Topic: Introduction to MNPD Police Academy

Developed lesson plan and conducted classroom instruction that introduced MNPD basic recruits to the following topics: background of policing; guardianship; why MNPD uses para-military model of basic recruit training; and resiliency.

Topic: Patrol Response to Organized Retail Crime (ORC).

Developed Lesson Plan and conducted IST using video based training in order to instruct sworn personnel on how to respond to ORC incidents in order to improve prosecutions and citizen satisfaction.

Topic: Patrol Response to White Collar Crime.

Developed Lesson Plan and conducted IST using video based training in order to instruct sworn personnel on best practices when responding to crimes involving credit card/debit card offenses, fraud, swindling, counterfeiting of money, counterfeit checks, and counterfeit merchandise.

 

MNPD Specialized Training

Topic: Basic Honor Guard Class.

Developed curriculum and lesson plans for training new members of the National Champion Drill & Ceremony Team. Planned, coordinated, supervised, and conducted an intensive three day training course.

Topic: Child Sex Abuse

Developed Lesson plan and conducted in-person IST training on Child Sex Abuse for sworn personnel. Received Certificate of Outstanding Service from TSU PD for quality instruction.

Developed Lesson plan and conducted in-person IST training on Child Sex Abuse for sworn personnel. Received Letter of Appreciation from VU PD for quality instruction.
